Installation notes

1. For models that use fuel and gas burners, do not direct the flame to the crucible during installation. The barrel should be tilted down 3 degrees to install to avoid direct flame direct local heating and cause thermal cracking of the crucible.

2. For the electric furnace model, when installing the crucible, make sure that the resistance wire does not directly touch the crucible to avoid short circuit of the electric furnace wire to the ground.

Requirements for the use of crucible

1. Before use, the crucible should be coated with NC8 acid-proof paint to prevent corrosion (it has been painted before leaving the factory);

2. Use the furnace probe to control the temperature of the alloy liquid within the range of 410~430℃;

3. The composition of die-cast zinc alloy must meet the requirements of GB/T13818-92.

Maintenance Rules

1. The crucible should be cleaned up before use to remove surface dirt, oil stains, iron filings and other molten slag, etc.;

2. Before use, it must be pre-heated (heated to about 200℃ and kept for one hour) and heated in sections to the normal use temperature to eliminate the stress of the casting and prevent the crucible from cracking;

3. When starting to melt, add scrap or molten alloy material first, and then add alloy ingots are best immersed in the solution;

4. The shutdown time is too long (usually more than 8 hours). Before shutdown, the hammer should be disassembled and the alloy solution should be scooped out by two-thirds. The bottom of the hot probe should not leave the material liquid to shorten the next opening of the furnace. The melting time prevents uneven heating of the crucible, and at the same time reduces the stress of thermal expansion and contraction of the alloy liquid, and prevents the bottom of the crucible from cracking.
